George Stulac, Senior Pastor George has been Senior Pastor of Memorial forever. Since 1981, even. Before entering pastoral ministry, he was on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. In fact, it was through the ministry of InterVarsity that George became a Christian while a student at Washington University. Before coming to Memorial, George led a church in Wichita, Kansas. George's theological training comes from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and more recently he completed his Doctor of Ministry at Covenant Theological Seminary, which culminated in a published commentary on the book of James (InterVarsity New Testament Commentary). He has a passion for prayer, for the advancement of Christ's mission overseas, and for genuinely caring for people with the love Christ has given him. George and his wife, Barbara, have four grown children: Bob, Sara, David, and Dan. Barbara is a nurse by training and enjoys teaching women's Bible studies. George enjoys reading mystery novels, following the St. Louis Cardinals, and running. Rumor has it that if you see a skinny man with a beard running along Big Bend at the crack of dawn, it's George. |
